Tickled Profusely as…
Last night I screamed as I was bizarrely being tickled…in a way I had never been tickled before.
There I was typing away in my one finger, at a time rhythm), completely absorbed in my version of ‘The Great American Novel”, when it happened!
Suddenly but with purpose it began on my cozily slipper-ed left foot.
At first, I dismissed the feeling thinking it must just be a tinkling nerve, on my buried warm toes. The sensational gentle tickle continued until it broke the spell of the story my imagination was writing, for me.
Then I acknowledged the tickle was alive!
I howled in terror, while jumping up & down.
That scared it, and me… to Hell!
There I was minding my own business, on a late still evening, when “The Curse” disturbed my concentration & peace.
Digging itself ever deeper into my furry slipper was an equally frightened Worthington.
I wondered how I could expect anyone else to believe this” attack of love” & it was only meant for me…personally!
Worthington was a runaway hamster who escaped his cage from the next-door tenant’s apartment.
He is NOT my pet but as hate all “ratty type existing living thingies”.
That fact is irrelevant as “I” must be most attractive to rodents.
The fact that Worthington is a taffy-colored ball of fluff, doesn’t mean I like him.
First, I had “The Louse of a Mouse” in love with me, now its “Worthington the Fugitive Hamster”, after me.
My competing admirers…aren’t I lucky?
What the heck do I possess that attracts these creatures to me?
I must eat too much cheese and have unknowingly emit a tempting aroma, they cannot resist.
My nightmare if Worthington, “the fugitive Hamster” finds & mates, with “the Louse of a Mouse”, and they make babies.
Taffy/grey mice will be following me around.
…HELP!
