Surprise it is another rainy, rainy Saturday Night…in the dripping Big Apple.

Our club of 5 gals, aged 83–95 years -young, meet in our building's lobby.

We hope we’ll be 5, but until we gather, I always check to see that everyone’s up to snuff… 🙄🙏if so, we’re off to our weekly night on the town. LOL!

We are game to go like “the USP” … come rain or shine.

Every Saturday Night until we run out of Saturdays…

I’ve made the reservation at Alfonso’s, (a mediocre, at best) cafe across the street. Its location only determined its choice.

Sheets of rain…water the NYC cement sidewalks, puddles fill the gutters, autos crawl blindly, even with their headlights glaring bright. Most sane New Yorkers stay in their dry, warm apartments but not The Paragon Girls.

Us “gaggle of goils”, *(girls that haven’t been girls in more than 60 years), meet in the Paragon’s Lobby.

In unison, we dismiss the storm, we vote to ‘weather-the-blasted weather’.

🙋‍♀️🙎🙎‍♀️🙎‍♀️🙋‍♀️

“It's Saturday Night and I just got paid…” 🎵🎵🎵 The words from some old Rock ‘Roll song… suddenly spring to my mind.

Just what song & singer…I don’t remember. 🤔🙄
