Janice, I'm going thru this problem with my knees, too. I had had my left knee shot up, now the right knee is kicking up!

Take your trip but call about renting an electric wheelchair/ scooter. It is usually available since there are so many older people & the disabled travel.

I rented one & went all over easily. I would reserve one in advance. It was not expensive & was a trip saver!
