I lived-in North Carolina in the 19960's.

It was a dry state so one could only "brown bag" to a restaurant, there you would order" a set-up"...

glasses, ice and mixers.

Talk about hypocrites...diners would drink the entire bottle of booze.

I never saw so many drunks in my life!

It was common knowledge that the politicians ran the ABC stores...the only legal places to buy your liquor, which you would conceal the purchase in a brown bag.
