I have the same problems & I love hot dogs, too.

Yesterday I bought a package of "fresh Shrimp" (with today's date on it), from the store's fish dept.

I almost died from the smell when it opened it. The shrimp were slimly.

I think I'll stick with hot dogs they are cured. So much for dated merchandise.
