“Hello, Hello Remember Me”?
Jackie Mason, … Thanks for the laughs. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🧡
He was funny looking, with a funny accent.
(This Brooklyn gal has the gall to call his accent funny). 😏 LOL!
Nostalgia: I found an old photo of my dear friend, Lou-Lou, (accidently), while searching for something else… in my messy desk drawer. It was taken years ago. Suddenly a long-lost memory flashed.
Jackie Mason had good taste!
Louise attracted Jackie Mason’s eye. He became obsessed with her. She was a cutie-pie who came to visit us at Bath & Tennis Resort one Summer, circa 1980’s. (That was a New York resort in Westhampton Beach) where he, too was a guest.
He kept finding her in the cocktail lounge or at the pool area…even on the beach.
She was a magnet for him, but she was not at all attracted to him. 😐
We all knew of him as a minor Borscht -belt comedian, or just another character slumming about Manhattan, where we lived.
Who could predict that little Jackie Mason would become a very successful comedian! 😮
The time came when his name on a Marquee would fill venues, in the USA, and internationally.
Broadway featured him in a sold-out one man show that ran & ran… Carnagie Hall, too.
I remembered my husband & I, invited tourist customers, of ours to his show.
The 6 of us, along with the audience laughed… until we cried. 😂🤣
His interaction with the audience, was hysterical…so personal, we all became part of his act.
Jackie became a frequent guest on The Ed Sullivan TV Show, Johnny Carson’s, etc.
When Hollywood called… he & his friend, Rodney Dangerfield finally “Got Respect”!
