I saw Ms. Zussman recently. We lived in the same neighborhood.

I'm your age, my father and brothers were butchers, from Russia.

My mother was born in 1909 and died when I was 33.

I always loved older people and knew they had wisdom to teach me.

My close girlfriend was born on the Lower Eastside and was raised in Brooklyn.

When my father was dying, I questioned him about his childhood. Thank Goodness!

I write my book about my family, and old Brooklyn neighborhood of Brownsville for my grandchildren who thought I was born in a covered wagon. It is called, "First Stop Brooklyn".

PS I frequented Studio 54 at the same time...you did.
