Since I'm an old lady now, I've witnessed a few close adoption situations.

One friend I see regularly found her bio mother & half siblings. They found little connection, as they weren't raised together. Xmas, they exchange cards, period.

Still another found her parents who gave her up, then married 2 yrs. later and produced 2 more daughters who are 100% her natural sisters.

It was most joyful, then miserable then very hard, but today its ok, since the father died prematurely.

There was resentment and jealousy.

I'll write their story...one day.

Many "Natural" children born in their bio family, do not connect either.
