“Bada-Bing Brooklyn Babe” …& I”

*Can you ever remove the patina of the Brooklyn Canarsie born & bred?

Today a woman I never actually did not notice before, (hard for you to believe), 🙄 started a long one-way conversation with me.

I was posed on the corner of my city block…minding my own business. (Doin’ nothin’) …in my preppy’ suit with pumps & shoulder bag, completing my proper ensemble.

She came on like gang busters…like she knew me well & wished to continue “a yadda-yadda” that she pretended like we had left off… unfinished.

Immediately I recognized her nasal Brooklyn “dems” & “dozes”.

A blond with “Paris Hilton-like bought” hair that she kept throwing her mane forward, the tossing it back. She was toying with it…advertising its unnatural length & mass, that was new to her…a novelty! 🙄

Her glossy wide mouth of teeth was obvious ice -cube -sized caps, a cropped nose plainly not chiseled by a skilled plastic surgeon… (as it tilted a bit south). 🙄

As she spoke her nervous hands jumped about, with extra-long extension nails. Each bony finger held multiple rings.

The chatterer was wearing a glitter sleeveless tee-shirt, with a sheer black off one- shoulder blouse top. 🙄

Big loop silver earrings & multiple bangled bracelets chimed as she gestured furiously.

Under her studded denim mini skirt hung her ‘scrawny gams’. They led to “Bada Bing’s” arthritic mis-shaped feet. 🙄

Her feet walked in I would call “old lady shoes” … (accommodating comfort), for her bunioned feet.

Black clunky, Velcro multi-strapped wedgies.

They were an odd paring with her otherwise “teenager floosy get-up”, circa 1950’s. 🙄

I must emit an aura of old Brooklyn, have certain attitude or perhaps I never left ALL of my accent behind… because of that I was so approachable to “Madam Bada-Bing”! 🤪

Remember, “Ya can take the Goil outah Brooklyn…BUT you can’t take the Brooklyn out of the Girl”! 🤣😊🥰

LOL!
