A PEARL GETS SCREWED…😮

Diane was ‘the one’ of the Paragon Pearls, * who got screwed Friday.

This is our tall, scrawny, fragile darling Pearl.

She was on her way into Langone’s Medical Complex for her annual physical exam past Friday.

Her General Practice Physician’s office was in this building.

Well while she removed Friday her gloves as she walked in, she lost her balance and suddenly hit the concrete sidewalk with force.

Our poor Pearl hit her hip and head hard. Ouch!

It takes a certain bizarre talent, (or luck), to fall right at the door of a hospital! No need to call for an ambulance with sirens glaring to rush thru the crowded streets of freezing cold Manhattan.

She had her accident at HELP’s Door!

Well, our dear Pearl Diane, was carried up the elevator on stretcher.

Her doctor was notified & was on her case…immediately.

Then x-rays, scans were ordered. She had broken her hip they showed.

Her bruised head was saved by the faux fur hat that she wore that winter morning…no concussion. Thank Goodness!

I phoned her next morning. Diane was her usual cheerful self after she told me hip surgery had been done. The Doctor had put screws in her hip…

Our Paragon Pearl had been “Screwed…!”
